Caracas Botanical Garden signage system, 1994

Among some wayfinding projects that we design and build is the signage system for the Botanical Garden of Caracas, commissioned by the Botanical Garden Foundation. It was designed to reduce the impact of signs within the area and increase visibility. The information uses as support a tempered glass sandwich buried directly in the ground.

With the Sponsorship of the Fundación Empresas Polar, the graphics system was made in collaboration with the botanical illustrator Bruno Manara.

This garden has the largest collection of Palmas in the world and is located in one of the city’s arterial roads. At the request of the President of the Foundation, the signs must be made bulletproof because people shoot from the vehicles.
