Andean Amazonian Pavilion
2005

Nagoya, Japan

The Andean Amazon Pavilion represented Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela at Expo 2005 in Aichi, Japan, highlighting their shared natural and cultural wealth, from the Andes Mountains to the Amazon Basin. These nations, among the most biodiverse in the world, offered an immersive experience emphasizing the connections between their ecosystems and traditions.

The project was curated by Sergio Antillano, Director of the Museum of Science in Caracas, with museography by French architect Philippe Delis and Venezuelan architects Marcela Vethencourt and MarĂa Teresa Parisca.

As Metaplug, we collaborated on the overall concept and the design of museographic devices, alongside the offices of Alejandro Calzadilla and Francisco Bielsa.

The pavilion was awarded the bronze medal, recognizing the quality and creativity of the exhibition proposal.
